Todd is a senior principal and board member at Populous, where he oversees the firm's convention center design practice. Over his nearly three-decade career as a convention center, hotel and retail design architect, Todd has developed more than 100 projects around the world, including a variety of convention centers in North America, Australia, Qatar, China and India. His most recent work, the Phoenix Convention Center, is one of the largest convention centers in the United States and one of few in the country to achieve green design certification. His work has received such acclaim as an Historic Preservation Award and a National Presidential Citation Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Todd is also known in the industry for his research and development of what makes for a great convention center. His thought provoking workshops, called Imagine That, bring together the industry's top convention center managers and operators to understand the needs and challenges of customers and explore the future of the convention center industry. His creation of the Experience Audit tool helps to measure the perceptions of convention center customers' experiences. He has presented findings from these workshops in numerous magazines and at conferences around the world.

Todd received his bachelor's degree in architecture and environmental design from the University of Kansas. He is a registered architect and is a member of the AIA, the UFI Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, the International Association of Assembly Managers and the International Association of Congress Centres. He also served as National Chairman of the American Institute of Architects' Young Architects Forum.
